Having a detailed understanding of performance (units, revenue, gross margin, marketing and sales commissions) across the Group, comparing against forecasts and ensuring understanding of impact on future numbers.
Monthly sales reporting to the Executive and Senior Management team, including commentary on key variances to latest forecast.
Producing the monthly management reports for core areas of responsibility and as part of the Group management report for distribution to the Executive team and external stakeholders, including supporting schedules and analysis.
Key involvement in business planning; gaining an understanding of assumptions in the plan/forecast, working with functional heads on preparation of forecasts/plans and feeding back into the forecasting process.
Reviewing worldwide provision against returns and price protection to ensure compliance with the Group accounting policy with issues being highlighted.
Management of financial relationships with Distributors, ensuring full reconciliation of balances at each and every month-end.
Financial accounting and processing of all required month-end entries to the agreed timetable.
