Assistant Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join Capita Resourcing, which is part of The Capita Group Plc.

The role will be predominantly based in Maidenhead but there may be a requirement to travel to other sites on an Ad-Hoc basis.

Reporting to the Finance Manager will be responsible for Operational Contract Support, Forecasting and Month End preparation for contracts within Capita Resourcing.

Specific responsibilities will cover:

*Producing weekly Gross Profit Reporting

*Assisting with monthly Management Accounts preparation

*Balance Sheet Analysis

*Reconcile and journal revenue/ COS into SAP

*Payroll Reconciliations

*Raise Purchase Orders & Invoice approval

*Ad Hoc reporting requirements

*Meet internal and group reporting deadlines

*Provide meaningful, value adding analysis on issues impacting the business both current and future

*Assisting in the preparation of annual budget setting process

*Review current processes and update/improve as required

*Assist Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, and wider team with day-to-day finance operations and queries as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential

*Advanced excel user, who is able to maintain and develop financial models

*Creative thinker, with an aptitude and desire for driving change and improving processes

*Team player with enthusiasm to make a contribution to the company

*Ability to manage own workload and prioritize effectively.

*Ability to influence decision making process through clear presentation of financials

*Confidence to liaise with and develop relationships with the wider business and senior management

*Strong analytical skills Desirable

*Prior experience of SAP or a similar EPR system and related business processes is strongly recommended

*Prior experience of a forecasting system such as Axiom is preferable

*Recruitment background

*Ideally AAT qualified, preferably with more than 2 years' experience in an accounting function

Studying towards ACA/ CIMA/ACCA
