Senior Finance Officer/ Project Accountant

Hays are working with a leading organisation based in central Birmingham to recruit a Senior Finance Officer on a permanent basis to join the projects team.

Your new role
As Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for providing financial and accountancy support for key projects within the department including managing year end processes and monitoring project income and expenditure. In addition to this you will be required to develop, implement and maintain the project financial management systems which meet the internal requirements as well as external requirements of funding bodies and project partners.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be a Part Qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent). With previous experience of providing comprehensive accountancy and finance support services, you will also have an up to date knowledge of the requirements of external grant funders.
