Key components
Reporting to the Head of Finance for the Market the Business Finance Partner will provide executive and decision support to the relevant business leadership team to help drive business performance. The Business Finance partner will also take a leading role in the provision of management information to support decision making, and in all aspects of financial management/control of the business area.

Key responsibilities

- Provide concise and relevant monthly management information to business leadership and key stakeholders to supplement the management information provided centrally to them or available to them from the online systems.

- Working with the Head of Finance to manage the revenue aspects of business planning, budgeting and regular forecasting.

- Monitor NM performance against budget and key KPIs, challenging the management information and highlighting any issues and trends (eg with pricing, efficiency, profitability etc). Provide the business leadership with insightful interpretation of data, including supporting commentaries, presentations, briefings, and benchmarking against other business areas (both internal and external).

- Proactively identify business and commercial issues with a view to maximising business performance. Add value to the activities of the unit, stimulate the generation of ideas and implement best practice.

- Oversee the delivery of client/project reporting and analysis with a view to understanding the impact of changes in the client base and other external/market factors. Support the Business/Finance leadership in monitoring and challenging the engagement/project leaders performance.

- Manage the analysis of non-financial related data as required (opportunities, people related, service levels etc) liaising with the sales teams to interpret sales and pipeline information as appropriate.

- Manage the NM Central Leadership/Sales budget including monitoring actuals compared to budget, identifying potential issues and taking the appropriate actions

- Ensure appropriate processes and controls are adhered to within the business and communicated as appropriate. Provide ad hoc training as necessary.

- Provide Finance support to the London Region Segment head - providing analysis, MI that will enable appropriate business decisions to be made.

- Take on Recruitment and Performance Management responsibilities for the Central Finance team as needed, ensuring they are managing workloads, resolving capacity issues and being responsible for training and coaching of the team.

Assist with wider finance projects and other ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as directed by finance leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree (or equivalent)

Studying to become member of a recognized accounting institute (eg. CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc.) or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 2 years experience in finance or equivalent commercial roles.

Relevant industry experience; Professional Services, Financial Services etc.
