Credit Controller

THE COMPANY

Brewster Pratap are currently recruiting an experienced Credit Controller to join a Sheffield based organisation Close to the motorway they are accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster.

THE JOB

Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller you will be responsible for managing your own ledger which requires a thorough, confident and capable Credit Controller. Candidates will be expected to have a proven track record of building relationships with internal and external contacts.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

Leading the credit control process by carrying out all necessary credit control duties to ensure the timely recovery of debt
Liaising with interal staff and customers to resolve queries quickly and efficiently
Providing copy POD's, invoices, credit notes etc
Updating and maintaining customer accounts on a daily basis
Collating and reviewing information in relation to the Ledger and reporting to the Senior Credit Controller on the key issues along with necessary recommendations
Work closely with other elements of the finance department to ensure that month end and year end deadlines are in order
Other ad hoc duties as required

THE PERSON:

Have a strong background in commercial credit management and debt collection
Strong Communication skills
At least 2 years credit control experience
Excellent IT literacy, specifically a good working knowledge of MS Office
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects whilst consistently meeting deadline.
Time management, prioritising daily tasks and the ability to work under pressure
Experience and good working knowledge of finance procedures
Confident and professional manner
