Our client, a manufacturing business based in Peterborough, has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant - 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £27,500 to £30,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Peterborough
Hours: Full Time: 37.00 hours
Relocation/ Sponsorship: Not available with this role
Benefits: 10% Annual bonus
25 Days Annual Leave

Within its Business Resource department it have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant based at its Peterborough facility. This exciting 12 month fixed term position will assist in the financial reporting of a complex and large company with revenues of circa. $2bn.

Your Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Key member of the Company Accounting team, responsible for submitting and reporting financial results to the parent company in the U.S.
* Intercompany transaction co-ordinator responsible for liaising with other Caterpillar companies across the globe, providing support and resolving discrepancies.
*Performing month end duties such posting journals and pre-close analysis.
*Assisting with the preparation and analysis of the monthly cash forecast.
*Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
*Ensuring financial controls within the role are robust and adhered to.
* Support the culture of continuous improvement in the team.




Essential

* Educated to a degree level or qualified by experience.
* Studying towards professional certification (ACA, CIMA,ACCA or equivalent)
* Previous accounting experience
* Strong work ethic and able to work to tight deadlines
* Self-starter and able to adapt in a dynamic environment
* Intermediate user of Excel with working knowledge of pivot tables and vlookups.
