Our client is a high growth FMCG business with exciting future plans.
Purpose
Drive the commercial finance agenda for the business, leading a team of regional commercial finance business partners based globally.
Develop the group’s long term financial strategy, lead the group planning, budgeting and forecasting process and deliver commercial finance support and analysis at the centre and in the regions.
The FP&A team will work closely with stakeholders across the regions to identify key trends and to help develop business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish lead and develop the commercial finance team providing commercial finance support to regional stakeholders and central functions
- Provide insightful FP&A support and advice to the CFO and wider business in order to understand and develop business performance
- Liaise closely with key stakeholders across the zones in order to develop sound financial growth plans and deliver continuous planning improvements
- Lead the annual planning process including; budgets, forecasts and mid-year / rolling plans
- Prepare and present reports and analysis for the Board, Management Team, Key Stakeholders, and 3rd parties
- Support and lead on projects such as; the route to market assessments, business restructurings, efficiency reviews, product tail/profitability analysis, ROI, system improvements, acquisition evaluations and risk control assessments
- Compile KPIs and quarterly dashboards for Board packs including analysis and commercially focused commentary
- Provide analysis of product performance and advise on pricing policies and pricing structure
- Evaluate and advise on the budgetary implications of New Product Development (NPD)and new product variations (NPV)
- Provide scenario modelling for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow
Person Specification
- An accounting qualification
- Consumer sector experience, ideally FMCG
- Proven experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting in a commercial environment
- Experience working with SAP, Business Objects or BPC
- Advanced Excel skills
