Robertson Bell finance are currently working with a flagship Not for Profit Group who are looking for an experienced Head of Financial Planning & Investment. This fast paced, dynamic Group has a turnover in excess of several hundred million pounds and are committed to investing a billion pounds over the next few years.
The Head of FP&A will manage a small, but highly capable financial planning team to deliver major investments, business planning decisions and a range of capital projects. Main responsibilities will include;
*Provide a comprehensive financial planning and analyse service, assessing long term business viability and shorter term development projects.
*Manage the business plan, which includes analysis of the Group for presentation to the board and submission to the regulator
*Lead on the strategic decision making of the Groups approach to investment appraisals, including the implementation and maintenance of the investment strategy from a finance perspective
*Assess major new business proposals in the context of the Groups business plans; cash flow, financial capacity, critically appraising the financial viability of proposals. This will include carrying out, scenario modelling and financial viabilities review
*Critically appraise financial models that are used to assess new business opportunities
*Manage, coach and lead the financial planning team
You will be a qualified accountant, have relevant finance experience at strategic management level with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. You will have knowledge of various investment appraisal techniques and able to manage a team, demonstrating achievements of going above and beyond business. Experience in managing large capital projects will be advantageous and candidates from all sectors are highly welcomed.
Please note that one of the key points of this opportunity, unlike some others, is that the work-life balance is very strong and you will not be required to work more than the standard amount of hours on regular basis. A big plus.
