Financial Analyst

If you would thrive in a role that requires you to assimilate data from a range of sources and deliver this to senior stakeholders in a timely manner then I would welcome the chance to talk to you. What you produce and how you produce it will in a large part be down to you: your ability to see patterns, combined with a sixth sense to delve further when something does not look right, is what we are looking for. Being able to then produce this in a format that senior operational heads can understand, easily digest and no doubt challenge is essential; as is how you then handle this challenge back. Confidence, conviction in your work and a strong communication style are all obvious starting points.

It is a newly created, data driven role based in South London, designed to satisfy the businesses requirement for more meaningful, relevant insight. Working with a number of stakeholders, from Operational Heads through to Corporate Reporting; Finance Business Partners through to mainstream finance, you will play an important role in delivering a first class service.

There are a range of requirements to satisfy, from both the standard reporting calendar and variable ad-hoc requests. Planning, budgetary processes, forecasting and re-forecasting will all touch upon the work that you produce and your ability to handle and prioritise a range of requirements will be a key skill. Margins are relatively low in this consumer facing business and as such informed decisions, fuelled largely by what you produce, can really make the difference to the bottom line. Whilst the organisation is large, do not under-estimate the level of impact that you can have.

I am interested to talk to a range of candidates, from recently qualified (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) through to active studiers who have the relevant skills and composure. As the role is newly created, it may well be as suitable to a first-time mover from practice as it would be to an industry based Analyst. Strong Excel skills are a must, with your ability to create and manipulate models central to this.

As important as your job driven skills are, there is much more to the qualifying criteria as you would no doubt expect. This is where your personality, determination and sheer willingness not to accept average comes in. We are looking for individuals who can lead by example and take the initiative in continually improving delivery and insight.
