An exciting opportunity for a Qualified Financial Accountant with a 'can do' attitude to join an international leading FMCG business which is known for being a teamwork orientated, values-led business. Based in Surrey at their UK office, you will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller, as well as supporting them day to day. You will therefore have the opportunity to impact the business through dealing with day to day finance issues and then dealing with the month end financial reporting processes.
As the Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- For month end, you will be responsible for the accruals journals and schedules, budget financial reporting, producing the audit file and reconciliation of all balance sheets.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the finance team including, internal audit to ensure efficiently and then with the Head of Tax for quarterly VAT returns, certifying external requirements are executed.
- For year end, you will take accountability for the preparation of statutory accounts and you will liaise with external auditors.
- Through improving the controls framework and drafting policies to make sure these controls are adhered to, you will have the opportunity to really impact the effectiveness of the finance processes.
- You will manage all aspects of intercompany agreements, you will post accruals and raise invoices after collating the revenue and agreement information.
You will need to be a personable Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA with strong technical experienced, who has SAP FI and CO knowledge. You will need to be confident with Hyperion HFM and have good excel modelling skills. You will need to organise yourself in an efficient manner to guarantee that you can manage and prioritise your workload. You will need to be passionate about finding areas where improvements can be made and having the initiative to do so, you will therefore need to commercially understand the business through to its core. You will need to have prior experience in a finance function and experience in the FMCG industry is preferable.
