Financial Controller

Operating with a rapidly expanding niche Retail market, this £100m t/o group is continuing to establish its reputation for competitive pricing, a broad product range and excellent customer service. Committed to sustainable, profitable growth throughout the UK, the business is currently seeking a Financial Controller, with proven Treasury and Financial Reporting experience, to undertake a newly created role in supporting future corporate development and expansion. With a broad remit, your brief includes:

•Preparation of monthly financial reporting, covenant reporting, analysis & investigation of key working capital movements, including commentary on KPIs & variances to prior forecasts
•Preparation & ownership of daily cash flow reporting & short term cash forecasts including reconciliation to long term cash forecast
•Driving the Finance agenda across the business & developing strong inter-department relationships
•Preparation of statutory financial statements under IFRS
•Establishing & management of Treasury function; working alongside operations, to understand multi-currency requirements & optimisation of hedging facilities
•Preparation of VAT returns & Tax calculations, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, calculation of quarterly tax payments
•Preparation of monthly reconciliation of allocated balance sheet accounts

As a graduate Qualified accountant with strong Treasury, technical accounting and Excel skills, ideally gained within a Retail or multi-site environment, you will demonstrate a proactive, hands on approach, an eye for detail and a deadline focus. The ability to implement new processes, develop reporting procedures and build robust relationships with key decision makers is prerequisite.
