Temporary Group Financial Controller

Your new company

One of the world's leading law firms, which helps its clients achieve their goals by bringing together the highest global standards without excluding local expertise. They are looking for a Group Financial Controller to join them for 6-7 months £600-£1200 per day based in Canary Wharf. The firm has unmatched scale and depth of legal resources in the three key markets of the Americas, Asia and Europe. By joining in their business services, you will help them innovate in the way they deliver their services and enable them to run a successful multinational business that never stands still.

Your new role

The Finance team is at the heart of its strategy. You will ensure a smooth, central and group audit, to be completed in time by the deadline of the end of June. This includes preparation of the consolidated Partnership Financial Report in accordance with accounting policies specified in the partnership agreement, and the group statutory accounts under International Financial Reporting Standards. You will be managed three other qualified accountants on the year end consolidation process, and you will be responsible for ensuring that this team, as well as other people with input to the central audit complete their inputs for the year end on time.

What you need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/International Equivalent) who is immediately available or on short notice (maximum 2 weeks) to start your new job. You will be technically strong; having produced group consolidation of statutory accounts at Global level/ European level of a large multinational company recently. You will have also recently managed a team.
