Tax Assistant Manager

Their specialists are inclusive of accountants, consultants and analysts amongst others and by channelling their expertise, our client is able to provide practical solutions to mitigate risk, increase opportunity and raise profits.

They are now looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior/ Assistant Manager to join their established team.

This role would suit an experienced Corporate Tax Senior/ Assistant Manager for its Tax division.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, providing them with a range of tax compliance and advisory services and assisting Partner and Directors in the management of the tax team.

Key elements of the role to include:

• Taking responsibility for the clients' tax compliance affairs under the supervision of the Manager/ Partner
• Involvement in related advisory matters
• Ensuring that assignments adhere to agreed budgets and time frames
• Providing a pro-active and efficient service to clients to ensure that their needs are fully met
• Liaising with HMRC
• Developing, training and motivating junior members of the team, including review of work, appraisals and ongoing feedback
• Delivering projects which adhere to the firm's professional standards and quality
• Representing the tax team as a key member of the firm's management team
• Developing professional relationships within the firm and with clients
• Consulting with Managers, Partners and colleagues on technical and risk matters

Sales and marketing are also an important element of this role. Identifying and developing new business opportunities with both new and existing clients, and involvement in new business proposals, all fall within the Assistant Tax Manager's remit.

To be considered for this role the following criteria are essential/desirable:-

• Significant understanding of and previous experience within tax compliance are essential
• Experience of managing staff are desirable
• Practice background is essential
