Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join an exciting Health Services company experiencing huge growth based in Tewkesbury. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
£45,000 - £55,000 plus excellent benefits
The client:
An ever expanding Health Services company who have doubled in turnover over the last 2 years and have forecast further growth moving forward. This role reports directly into the Chairman of the business so you will need to be a strong communicator that can present the current financial position of the company and make strategic recommendations to drive future growth.
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Develop Finance strategy and Finance objectives to support company business plan
- Develop Management Reporting to meet the needs of the business
- Identify and adopt best practice for policy, systems and process for financial matters throughout the business
- Statutory reporting, compliance, annual accounts and VAT. Liaison with accountants and tax authorities
- Management reporting and analysis for management team and Board
- Preparation of annual budgets for income and costs, balance sheet and cashflows, with monthly comparison to actuals with variance analysis
- Preparation and presentation of rolling quarterly forecasts
- Ongoing improvement and monitoring of financial controls to minimise risk , ensure completeness of revenue and costs and safeguard company assets
- Management of finance staff to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records on income, costs, cashflow, fixed assets
- Management of working capital and cashflow
- Management of payroll processes and compliance with statutory requirements
- Management of company pension provider and employee engagement programme
- Contribution to discussions concerning the operation , development and growth of the business
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the management team
- Ongoing development of IT systems to support business operations
- Coaching and development of finance team
Person specification:
- Accounting qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- 3+ year's experience of working in a similar Accounting or Finance position
- Proven experience dealing with Audit
- Ability to analyse business issues, provide simple summaries with recommended solutions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and respect deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and lead process improvement
- Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint
