An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Accountant to join a new healthcare organisation based in Suffolk as Financial Controller responsible to the CEO.

The purpose of the role is to have overall control of the organisation's finance and accounting function and to be a key member of the Executive Team.

The main responsibilities include the following:
• Ensuring the accurate and complete documentation of all financial transactions including compliance with all transactional, payroll and VAT / tax requirements.
• Establishing and ensuring systems are robust and compliant.
• Preparing budgets, management and financial accounts and cash flow statements on a monthly/annual basis.
• Co-ordination and review of the performance against budgets on a quarterly basis and revision of forecasts.
• Working with managers to implement financial information.
• Provision of financial information useful in strategy setting such as cash flow planning
• Support of financial information when bidding.
• Ensuring all pension information is up to date and all returns filed on a timely basis
• Review and renewal of all insurance documentation including negotiation of terms and cover
• Liaison with external professionals such as accountants, insurance brokers and lease providers

The position would suit a CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified or QBE accountant ideally with NHS experience. You will demonstrate the ability to build effective relationships with managers across the organisation, with outstanding communication skills and excellent financial experience including all aspects of financial reporting, payroll, budgets, cash flow, pensions and procurement.

You will bring dynamism and energy to the role and in working to develop the finance function and implement strategy.
