With continued business growth, my well established FMCG client in Newbury are looking for a detail oriented, analytical and commercially Interim Commercial Accountant to join their established finance team. You will be an excellent communicator and multi-tasker, and be available at very short notice to start this role - initially on a 6 month contract basis.

As the Interim Commercial Accountant you will support the wider finance team in providing financial information to aid the business in decision making with the main focus being commercial performance.

You will be working closely with the Commercial, New Product Development and Marketing teams to ensure the accuracy of all relevant data which will provide confidence in reports generated by the department.

You are likely to be part-qualified, or a qualified accountant, with recent, relevant commercial experience and offer Advanced Excel, ideally to macro level.

Your duties as an Interim Commercial Accountant will include:

- Portray a positive image of the company and its values in a professional manner at all times

- Financial evaluation of commercial opportunities to aid decision making

- Brand analytical support and analysis of performance against targets

- Retail promotional spend evaluation, month end accruals, post event audits

- Control of overrider & volume rebates, including month end accruals, authorisation of invoices and maintaining accuracy of data held

- Control of invoicing to customers for residual stock issues

- Maintain accuracy of all costing data held within ERP system

- Maintain system to ensure production of accurate costings for all new product development

- Assist in the budgeting/forecasting process with the provision of Cost of Sales information

- Provide general support and information to the Commercial Team

- Any other duties which might reasonably be requested in association with this role in order to meet the needs of the business

- Adhere to all company rules and procedures, paying particular attention to health and safety.

This is a superb opportunity as an interim Commercial Accountant to join an awarding-winning, experienced finance team, where there is the potential to extend beyond the initial 6 months, potentially for extension subject to performance and sign-off.

It is also that you have a car and full driving license for this Interim Commercial Accountant position, as my client is based on the outskirts of Newbury so a car is essential.
