Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager to join a World Leading FMCG business based in Trowbridge. Paying up to £40, 000 plus Fantastic Benefits.
The Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in transactional finance coupled with experience with employee management. This is a commercial role and provide opportunities for further development and future progression in one of the world's leading businesses, working alongside and reporting into the businesses hierarchy.
- Lead the Intercompany team to provide high-quality processes for the management of intercompany transactions, with a strong focus on process improvement.
- Ensure proper execution of intercompany payment terms.
- Ensure the timeliness and quality of the monthly closing process, reporting and reconciliation of intercompany balances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching and development of the team
- Ensure that the Intercompany processes implemented in the CBS are fully compliant with the group core model (for goods and services). In particular, ensure that the Group consolidation instructions are applied.
- Ensure that all Intercompany activities are performed in accordance with the Group accounting policies and procedures, and local regulations. The activities include billing, invoice processing, payment, Balance Sheet reconciliation, reporting of Intercompany balances to the Group, resolution of discrepancies.
- Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies in Cost of Goods invoices (e.g. price or quantity differences) by liaising within agreed timeframes with relevant counterparty.
- Ensure all intercompany charges to CBUs are processed on a timely basis (e.g. CBS/ISIT charges to CBUs)
- Ensure completeness and correctness of CBUs accruals at month-end.
- Ensure that all intercompany positions are reported on time and in full, and that any remaining discrepancies are fully explained
- Set up and review regularly intercompany process KPIs with the Head of Accounts Payable, and work actively with the other CBS Intercompany functions to identify opportunities to improve process efficiency
- Support the CBUs / Head of Treasury in forecasting intercompany transactions
- Ensure intercompany balance sheet accounts are reconciled
- Maintain effective internal control system in the intercompany processes
- Drive individual and team performance improvement: coach and develop team, set objectives, provide guidance and feed-back and identify personal development opportunities
- Support the Head of department in setting up KPIs to monitor and improve the efficiency of the intercompany process within the CBS
Your Profile
- Previous experience of operating in a high-volume transaction processing environment
- Previous experience of team management
- Strong accounting and finance analysis skills
- Proven experience in business process improvement
- Ability to identify and manage the implementation of process improvements
- Good Accounting understanding (P&L, Balance Sheet…)
- Working knowledge of SAP and MS Office (Excel/Word)
