I am on the hunt for a very hands on Management Accountant to join an SME in South Birmingham, reporting directly to FD. This newly created role is a fantastic opportunity to help develop robust processes, whilst taking off fundamental key responsibilities from the FD. The Management Accountant will be responsible for all finance postings related to, and including, the preparation of monthly management accounts. The role also demands a commercial knowledge of the business, therefore relationship management is key. Key Responsibilities include:- Preparation of monthly management accounts for review by FD- Collation, organisation and posting of key information to support the above- Posting journals, accruals, prepayments, adjustments etc to ensure TB and Management Accounts are prepared accurately.- Engage with key stakeholders in the business to build relationships that will benefit both parties. This will ensure that you receive key information pertinently, and they receive a good service on the financial position of their cost centre- Help build a robust "finance function" to ensure the business is able to make sound decisions on the back of the financial information being provided- Ad hoc tasks directly related to the above Key Attributes:- ACCA/CIMA/ACA Part Qualified/Finalist- 2 years accounts preparation experience - Accounts Practice experience ideal- Ability to communicate and report effectively
