Reed Finance is working exclusively for a Finance Manager position with a leading UK Solutions firm based in the Warrington area.

With offices across the UK and seeing impressive year on year growth to c£400m turnover, this is an opportunity to join an established organisation that is continuing to go from strength to strength. Continuing with their northern expansion, they are looking to add a commercially focused accountant to further bolster their finance function. A newly created position, this is very much in the vein of taking on a either a recently qualified accountant or holding 1-2 years post qualified experience who is looking for a developmental role that will allow you to have access to a clear path to progress.

This role is to focus on the expanding North division, and although this is predominantly based in the Warrington office, there will be an aspect of travel as this is a highly commercial, business facing role.

Initially this position will focus on working with major contract managers improving control and reporting of WIP. You will be tasked with having weekly meetings with these managers and will identify overdue reactive billing. You will also take control of P&L analysis and reporting on contracts, working closely with the Financial Controller. You will interface with multiple divisions and act as a business partner. This will then lead to taking on further P&L responsibilities for other divisions and will provide a route for the right person to eventually move to FC level.

This role will require a commercially focused accountant who is confident in their ability and challenging the status quo. You will work with a variety of stakeholders and therefore will require assertiveness, clear communication and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Ideally you will have strong understanding of WIP and worked in on large contracts or projects in the past. Periodic travel is expected with the role, however a company car will be provided.
