A leading, rapidly growing and acquisitive listed automotive business has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join them at their HQ near Aldershot as a Group Reporting Accountant, with the aim of helping build a first class accounting infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve group management/financial reporting procedures
- Liaise with, and act as key contact for, auditors
- Preparation and review of month end report
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of group consolidation
- Prepare and review subsidiary statutory accounts under FRS
- Assist in the production of glossy financial statements
- Partner with UK & European finance teams
- Provide advice and ensure compliance with group accounting policies
- Fill in for Deputy Group Financial Controller when appropriate
- Ad hoc project work
Candidate Profile:
- Degree educated and qualified accountant with ACA at least 3 years post qualification experience
- Strong, current, technical skills and knowledge, particularly of IFRS
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Experience interpreting inflexible accounting and applying them to real world situations, adding value in doing so
