Part-Qualified Cost Accountant

One of Reed's National, market-leading clients are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, Part-Qualified Accountant for an initial 12 month contract with the potential to be made permanent.

This role will provide the right candidate with challenging and varied work, in an environment that will give them room to grow and develop.
This is a pivotal role in a large finance team, working closely with very experienced accountants. My client really wants someone who has confidence in their own abilities and wants to take on more responsibility as they progress within the role. This position really could provide a solid career path to the right applicant and would suit a highly motivated and proactive individual.

Duties of the role include:

- Assisting senior management in delivering the growth plan, supporting improvement in volume and margin contributions
- Preparing weekly forecasts and reporting against budget for margins
- Monitoring operational costs to ensure that they meet requirements and targets
- Completing stock & Cash audits
-Carrying out weekly margin analysis
-Undertaking price assessments
-Ensuring effective controls are in place

It would be desirable if applicants were ACCA or CIMA part qualified, and have relevant experience within cost accounting. However, if you have the practical experience but not the official qualifications- I still want to hear from you!
