Senior Project & Procurement Accountant

Robertson Bell Finance are currently recruiting for a Senior Project & Procurement Accountant. Our client is a large, dynamic public sector organisation based in Buckingham who are looking to add some support to the team for a period of 6 months, with the potential for extension.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, this role provides finance support and advice to the procurement and contract negotiations for the various business units across the organisation. Specifically you will be responsible for:
*Providing commercial and finance support across the business, liaising with business units and stakeholders
*Analyse and interpret complex financial data presenting to all stakeholders, both finance and non-finance.
*Create and utilise financial models to support procurement projects and evaluation of bids and contracts
*Negotiate existing contracts, challenging external providers to ensure viability and delivery
*Identify and produce reports to outline financial savings or value for money changes can be made, through contract renewals etc.
*Assist in the closedown of annual accounts and monthly reporting when needed.
*Line management of 1 part qualified accountant

In applying for this role you must hold a full CCAB or equivalent accountancy qualification and have previous experience supporting the procurement of bids and contract negotiations within the public sector. You will be analytical that is confident and able to interact with stakeholders in a warm, approachable but often challenging manor.
