Finance Business Partner
Your new company
Your new company is a public sector organisation operating on a multi-national scale. The organisation is currently going through an interesting transitional period, both in the finance function and the wider business.
Your new role
Your new role will be as a key partner within the team. You will provide advice and support on both strategic and operational finance in a £30m turnover business.
This is a senior position and the role holder is expected to use their considerable subject knowledge and expertise, and their leadership skills, to control and assure the delivery of financial outcomes - both internally and to customers.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be experienced in communicating with, presenting to and challenging senior management.
As an experienced people manager, you will be able to develop relationships with your team and motivate them to maximise their performance.
To be part qualified in a main body Accountancy qualification e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA Exceptionally a candidate may be qualified by experience;
Proven track record in financial management and control in a public or private sector organisation;
Good technical knowledge of accounting principles, systems and procedures;
Strong analytical skill-set with exposure to working closely within a business in a decision support capacity;
IT literate.
High level skills in using EXCEL (vlookups, pivot tables etc), constructing spreadsheets for reporting purposes; Strong interpersonal and communication skills, balanced with tact and diplomacy and confidence in dealing with staff at all levels;
Proven experience of negotiating and building partnerships, using influence to modify behaviour and improve the outcome of business interactions;
Previous experience of delegating and team-management. Ability to develop and motivate staff.
