Goodman Masson is working with an exciting arts charity to recruit their new Finance Manager.

We are looking for an astute finance manager to work in partnership with stakeholders across the charity, providing consistent, high quality and proactive advice to support and enable achievement of the charity's vision and goals. The role will lead the finance team to deliver first- class business partnering services and shadow business partners, as appropriate, to enable better understanding of relevant business areas. It will also ensure the provision of high quality business intelligence information across the charity for effective decision making. The role will work collaboratively with all teams across the charity to ensure that the Finance and Operations team delivers a unified support service to the charity through the establishment, embedding and maintenance of robust and agile processes that are both fit for purpose and fit for the future.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the post holder will be responsible for a management accountant and junior finance analyst. Your role will be to ensure that accurate monthly management accounts are prepared, and circulated, in compliance with a published annual timetable with embedded quarterly forecasting, and development of financial reporting that is future focused and tracks progress towards the organisation's strategy. You will bring skills to develop teams and engage stakeholders in working together in meeting strategic objectives.

Role Purpose and Role Dimension:

*To manage a high quality, customer focused finance service to the charity
*To ensure that all financial systems and processes are efficient and effective
*Responsible for the preparation and reporting of statutory and management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts
*The management of processes to ensure legal and governance compliance
*Provide timely and accurate information, and financial advice, to the ET, Trustees and other colleagues to inform and influence planning and decision-making
*Promote best practice on financial and tax issues and lead on delivering induction and other training in finance for non-financial staff
*Maintain an efficient contract monitoring system, ensuring that all contracts are appropriately logged and reviewed, and are re-negotiated, re-tendered or extended as appropriate
*Work with all teams to track financial performance within the context of other charity key performance indicators
*Carry out financial modelling to support strategic financial planning with particular emphasis on fundraising income drivers and ROIs

Key Skills and Experience:

*Education to degree level or equivalent knowledge
*Qualification in Accounting - fully qualified accountant with Central Council of Accounting Bodies (CCAB) professional body
*Charity SORP accounting, preferably SORP 2015
*Proven ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints
*Excellent written and spoken English

This is an excellent role for someone looking to make their first move out of practice after completing an ACA qualification, but is equally well suited to someone who is ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent) qualified.
