Servest Group have a fantastic opportunity for a strong payroll professional with strong leadership skills to lead the transformation changes of our fast pace operations payroll department. As key senior manager within the Payroll Services team you will lead some of the new key strategic projects that are to change the way we operate our payroll service for our frontline colleagues and other employees, with high visibility to the business.
Payroll Manager Role outline
Responsible for the management of multiple payrolls with a total of 26,000 employees.
The Payroll Manager is an ambassador for relations with key stakeholders such as HR, Finance and Operations and the wider Group.
A key aspect of the role is driving the payroll team performance to ensure deadlines and legislative compliance is met.
Day to day line management of the 4 members of the team, providing leadership and ensuring the department meets the needs of the business.
Overall responsibility for delivery of reporting, both statutory (Pension, HMRC, P11D etc.) and management reports to business Stakeholders.
Proactively assess processes within Payroll department - Identify, analyse and recommend improvements to business processes and system enhancements.
The Ideal Candidate
Experienced Payroll Manager with a detailed understanding of the end to end payroll process, ideally with extensive experience of Payroll within a complex multi-site environment, using integrated Payroll and HR systems.
Technically sound in all Payroll processes, including current legislation and regulatory requirements, together with excellent knowledge of Benefits and Pensions.
Clear understanding of data protection and data security requirements.
Strong leader who thrives in leading and delivering a high quality service in a fast paced environment.
Ability to lead and motivate a team with a successful track record of managing a large Payroll department.
Collaborative approach, robust, influential decision maker. Ideally CIPP qualified.
