The role
Looking for a new challenge within Financial Control? PepsiCo are looking for a Financial Controller for our UK Supply Chain division to join our Head Office in Reading, Berkshire.
You'll be leading and delivering the development of a long term plan to drive greater integration and more efficient processes along with sustained Control excellence within Supply Chain Finance.
This role is about more than financial control. You will be calling upon your excellent leadership skills to manage a group of stakeholders based in our head office, our operational sites based across the UK and India. Developing and maintaining key relationships with senior management across the operation to align operational and control agenda is a real focus of this role.
Reporting to the Accounting and Reporting Senior Director, you will also contribute to the long term development of the Control agenda across our business, as a key member of the senior Control team.
Accountabilities
- Accurate accounting and financial reporting of Supply Chain results
- Definition and delivery of Control agenda in Supply Chain, including implementation of company Global Control Standard
- As SOX Process Executive for Inventory, and Sub Process Owner for Purchase to Pay, deliver sustained and robust compliance to financial controls
- Influencing central & field Supply Chain to ensure an appropriate control environment
- Process leadership to ensure appropriate business processes are maintained & implemented (engineering, inventory, direct costs, purchasing) through building interfaces with IT
- Ownership of Direct Cost accounting systems (BPC- Oracle)
- Ensure that SwissCo compliance is maintained
- Drive integration and efficiency of core reporting processes wherever possible
- Ownership of Period End processes
- Support Supply Chain Planning Managers in the management review & presentation of results
- Management of interface with audit teams (external, internal & SOX)
What we are looking for
- Qualified accountant with extensive experience of working in a large blue chip organisation
- Senior financial control/process experience preferably in an operational environment
- Leadership of direct team plus broader team on points of process/control
- Ability to influence others and resolve areas of ambiguity
- Ability to own and drive a change agenda
- Build effective relationships cross-functionally and influence direct customer groups
- Experience of coaching and developing a team
- Effective communicator
- Previous supply chain experience is preferred
