Accounting Manager – IT & Cost

Band: 3A Salary: c£55,000
Location: Chesterfield
Reporting into: Head of Reporting & Control
Contract Details: Full Time – Permanent

As the Accounting Manager for IT & Cost, you’ll lead a small team to deliver business performance insight and understanding for Finance & Operations and IT. You’ll provide financial accounting support to the Finance Director for Finance & Operations and IT and ensure compliance with the Financial Control Framework.

You’ll manage the preparation of divisional reporting packs ensuring timely, accurate and insightful as well as deliver the early insight into any unusual variances and anomalies, working with the Finance Directors and their teams to understand and resolve these anomalies.

The Accounting Manager will maintain the balance sheet probity – ensuring that balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed and that all reconciling items are understood and cleared.

You’ll be a qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and have experience managing and developing a small team as well as understanding the importance of strong financial control framework and ensuring that is it maintained. You’ll also continuously look to improve processes and will be comfortable delivering change within the Finance team.
