As the Head of Reporting and Control you’ll lead the financial control team to deliver business performance insight and understanding for Post Office Ltd. You’ll be tasked with the management of processes and controls to deliver effective month and year end close processes and compliance with the Financial Control Framework. You will lead on change management supporting the team and back office transformation.

You’ll develop a culture of “best in class” accounting and reporting team, leading the development of a team of qualified and part qualified accountants. You will manage relationships with key business stakeholders across the business. The Head of Reporting and Control will also lead the provision of quality analysis and performance insight across the business units, supporting both the Finance Directors and Central Finance teams.

You’ll work closely with our auditors, leading in the delivery of audit information for year-end audit.

You’ll manage the delivery of a robust balance sheet position for the Post Office as well as continuously looking for areas to improve process, controls and documentation. You’ll drive financial control framework compliance across the financial control team and support divisions in delivery. As the Head of Reporting and Control you’ll also own the process for a number of key areas (R2R, Project Accounting, Fixed assets, B2C, Stock accounting – retail and lottery) as well as leading the team through back office transformation supporting the programme team as appropriate.

You’ll ideally have extensive knowledge and experience working in either a large accountancy firm or blue chip organization and be a qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience of managing large teams.
