Avon Rubber p.l.c. is not only a £150 million global market leading business with an enviable track record of growth and profitability but also a company that believes strongly in ethics, corporate responsibilities and developing its people. The Group is highly regarded for innovative design; technologically advanced products and strong customer relations. They supply respirator systems to the military and civilian first responders and specialist tubing and milk control systems to dairy farming both of which are growth markets. Product development and overseas expansion has now placed the Group in a position to adopt a more aggressive acquisition strategy.  Growth and succession planning has led to the need for a Group Reporting Accountant.

Working with the Group Financial Director and Group Financial Controller, the Group Reporting Accountant’s stakeholders will include Operations managers, Audit Committee, external auditors, banks, and the Company Secretary.  There is also exposure to the Main Board. Responsibilities, though not exhaustive, will involve:-
 
•    Statutory reporting
•    Leading the preparation of the Annual Report
•    Tax reporting and patent box
•    Treasury, including cash forecasting and monitoring covenants
•    Internal audit involving some overseas travel, shared with the team
•    Head Office balance sheet management
•    Assisting the Company Secretary with associated returns
•    Projects which will include assisting with acquisitions, intercompany charges, transfer pricing, integrations, and various projects requiring modelling, analysis and commentary

The Group Reporting Accountant will also be expected to develop the role beyond its current form as well as contributing to improvements in all areas of the business.
