The Opportunity

Finance Analyst – Branch Finance

Team: Branch Finance (part of the ECP Finance function)

Reporting to

Commercial Finance Manager

Key Objectives of the role

To support the branch network teams in the planning, delivery and reporting of the their financial and commercial targets

Building close working relationship with both the Operational and Finance Teams bringing clarity, analytical insight and rigor to ensure ECP continues to growth its branch network a profitable way.

Areas covered included

Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager in delivering;

  • Sales & Margin Performance analysis by branch and customer segmentation
  • Insightful reporting to drive branch profitability supporting regional and divisional sales teams
  • Review, understand and appraise branch bonus schemes
  • Support the E-commerce and Marketing Business Partner in understanding the impact of customer and staff incentives
  • Branch performance by age, type and region
  • New Branch CAPEX appraisals
  • Support the Head of Branch Finance & the Branch Support Business Partner in regular stakeholder reviews

All of the above wrapped up in;

  • Analytical reporting
  • Audit / control
  • Monthly target setting
  • Annual strategic plan
  • Annual budgeting process
  • Supporting ECP Branch initiatives – driving profitable sales, efficient resource planning, cost savings, investment trials

Experience Required

  • Part Qualified Accountant - studier (CIMA, ACCA)
  • Strong system, data and reporting skills
  • Demonstrable commercial / analytical experience
  • Prior experience of supporting and challenging Operational non-financial teams
  • Planning – target setting, annual budgeting
  • Automotive or Retail experience (non-essential)
