Group Accountant

£50,000-£55,000 per annum + Benefits
Cambridge University Press are looking for a Group Accountant to analyse, report and deliver high quality financial information to a range of internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Influence over the production of monthly consolidated management accounts, ensuring compliance with new UK GAAP and group accounting policies
- Contribution to the external year end UK statutory audit and to the preparation of consolidated Group and subsidiary statutory financial statements.
- With the benefit of support and training you will establish yourself as a super user of the industry leading SAP-BPC in order to identify and implement further BPC reporting enhances in line with the central finance team.
- Proactively deliver against various other technical and non-technical projects, ensuring information is reported correctly, stakeholder relationships maintained and deadlines met.
About you:
Applicants for the Group Accountant role will be ACA/ACCA/overseas equivalent qualified, with 2-5 years PQE. A background including experience within a top tier public accounting practice and/or the head office of a large multi-national group will be an advantage, but applications from other candidates with a demonstrable track record of progression within a commercial environment are welcome. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will be a good team player who thrives in approaching tasks with an analytical and inquisitive manner. Additionally, you will possess a strong eye for detail, a diligent work ethic and the communication skills to educate and persuade.
