We are seeking to hire a French or German speaking Auditor/Business Analyst to join our Audit team at Disney on a permanent basis.
The Department
Walt Disney set the standard for character licensing in the entertainment industry when he licensed the image of Mickey Mouse for a children’s notebook. Today, Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is the world’s largest licensor of intellectual property, bringing Disney magic to the heart of the home through compelling products and experiences. DCP works to translate Disney’s beloved brand, stories and characters into a broad range of consumer products that feed the imagination, create fashion, encourage healthy eating habits and add the excitement to celebrations.
The Role
Auditors are responsible for performing licensee compliance audits for all Disney lines of businesses (Merchandise and Publishing) throughout EMEA. The Disney Consumer Product (DCP) Audit team’s primary objective is to partner with DCP Category and Finance stakeholders to provide independent and objective quality compliance audits and consulting services that enhance future business and management decision making.
The Auditors work autonomously on site at Licensees’ offices to conduct contract compliance audits. This involves understanding systems and data flows as well as the critical product creation processes. Following this process, a full assessment on the completeness of royalties due to Disney and an opinion on the level of compliance on other contractual matters is pivotal.
Additionally the responsibility to effectively report the audit results both internally to Senior Management and externally to licensees is very important. Generally this will include invoicing and follow up of the collection of amounts deemed to be due to Disney. Other tasks include reporting non-monetary findings and providing recommendations on internal control weaknesses identified during the Audit. Audits are finalized by issuing an Audit Report to senior Disney management and the licensee.
