Finance Manager

This organisation is looking to recruit a talented individual as a finance manager, focused around reporting and business partnering. The successful candidate will have experience of working under pressure and reporting to tight deadlines, as well as being able to demonstrate the ability to understand complex processes and identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Financial reporting & business partnering – ensure consistent forecasting;
• Financial planning & budgeting – lead the budget setting process and feed into the overall planning process;
• Review existing controls and processes and work with the operational team to ensure they are appropriately designed and functioning;
• Account for and appropriately allocate management and administrative costs of the service
• Support financial input to business plans
• Supervise a financial assistant
• Prepare the management accounts for the corporate budget / running costs
• Lead risk assessment, management and mitigation activities as required within scope of the role.

The ideal candidate for this role must have:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified accountant
• Intermediate skills with Excel (eg Look ups, Pivot Tables etc)
• Experience and knowledge of financial accounting, financial planning and financial management, in a large organisation
• Must be able to provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information and present back to senior management
• Knowledge and experience of developing and reporting on cost improvement programmes
• Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands
• Ability to analyse complex facts and develop a range of options
