The higher education industry is a growing market and QS has established itself as the global leader in higher education events and intelligence. The business has a turnover of around £25m, is headquartered in Hampstead in London, and has sizeable teams in Mumbai, Bucharest, Singapore, and Stuttgart. We recently obtained external investment to support our growth ambitions.

We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join the Finance team of 12. This is an ideal role for someone recently qualified and keen to work in a diverse, international business, ensuring insightful management information is provided to key stakeholders. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

  • Production of monthly management reports, reforecasts, budgets;
  • Completion of foreign entity accounting;
  • Creation of business plans for potential new products / acquisition opportunities;
  • Refinement of and updates to Five Year Plan;  
  • Variance analysis and other reporting;
  • Business partnering divisional heads and cost centre managers;
  • Improving the quality and timeliness of reporting and analysis; and
  • Playing a part in the successful migration to NetSuite and development of new reporting;
  • Working to streamline systems and ensure effective controls and processes are in place.

We are looking for:

  • Qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Good experience in management accounts
  • Excellent communication skills, and able to work effectively with colleagues
  • Proactive in problem solving and keen to drive change and make improvements
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good attention to detail
  • Previous use of Exchequer or NetSuite financial systems would be desirable
