Finance Manager

Morgan Law are proud to  be representing a Charity based in the Centre of London looking for a permanent Finance Manager to join their team.

Your new company – A London based charity looking for an innovative and driven Finance Manager/ Management Accountant .

Your new role – The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the finance function and to manage a small team. 

Key duties of the position include:

• Management accounting & reporting
• Managing staff
• In liaison with the Director of Finance & Business Operations preparing data and papers for the Board of Trustees & Finance Sub Committee
• Control over grant receipts and their release to income
• Cash flow management
• Payroll supervision and authorisation
• Dealing with finance queries in conjunction with other team members
• Maintaining and reconciling all bank accounts 
• Preparing VAT returns
• Overseeing  and ensuring control is maintained over the input to accounting systems of purchase orders, purchase invoices, sales invoices and other transactions
• Reconciling control accounts - debtors, creditors and wage control account
• Ensuring that the finance team chase debtors and manage creditors efficiently
• Checking the filing of finance documents is done effectively
• Preparing routine accounting journals
• Working the Director of Finance & Business Operations managing responsibility for adhering to budgets and financial procedures

What you will need to succeed – To be successful in this role its highly desirable candidates have experience working for a charity and are happy to work within a small finance team.
