My client, a leading Central London based investment start up, are looking to hire a Business Analyst. The role sits within both the finance and operations teams and reports directly in to the Operations Manager. The job has arisen due to my client's excellent performance over the last 2 years (including winning several lucrative contracts throughout the world).

My client has a preference for candidates with at least 2-5 years' worth of analytical experience within banking/financial services or insurance. Another highly desirable profile for this role would be an ACA audit trainee from the traditional Big 4 who is keen on a more commercial role within industry.

The role's duties include preparing the MI pack, ensuring that key controls are designed and operating effectively, evaluating internal/external audit report findings and maintaining the process framework.

You will be reporting and analysing crucial deliverables (i.e. fee recognition, trends and sales revenue), monthly reporting of Business Unit results and compiling and taking charge of variance analysis.

There will be some KPI analysis and meeting with heads of departments to discuss why targets are being missed/achieved (i.e business partnering). Candidates need to be decisive enough to challenge senior members in the business and provide new ideas to increase efficiency.

Successful applicants will also be liaising with stakeholders. My client has a preference for candidates with at least 2-5 years' worth of analytical experience within banking/financial services or insurance.

Excel forms a significant part of the role; candidates will need to be highly adept with building pivot tables, v-look ups and formulas. Experience with macros would be a bonus.

My client has a preference for candidates currently working in the financial services or insurance sector. Another highly desirable profile for this role would be an ACA audit trainee from the traditional Big 4 who is keen on a more commercial role within industry.

The role is an incredibly progressive position. Candidates have a real opportunity to become future leaders within a dynamic and exciting start up if they exhibit the right attitude and personality.
