Financial Accountant

A new vacancy has now arisen for a Financial Accountant to support the Finance Manager in production of the statutory accounts, financial reporting and analysis on UK and foreign entities, capex projects and fixed assets. This will be a varied role offering a lot of exposure throughout the business to key stake holders based in the UK, EMEA and USA. Key duties will include:

• Preparation of financial statements for main trading companies in the group
• Full responsibility for preparation of financial statements (under IFRS) for a European subsidiary
• Financial analysis and support to an overseas manufacturing facility
• Accurate reporting of intercompany loans, interest, royalties etc.
• Month end management reporting for overseas offices and head office.
• Liaising with country bookkeepers to ensure accurate reporting of re-charges and foreign exchange transactions
• Supporting the preparation of group consolidated statements
• Fixed Asset management, valuation and depreciation modelling
• Assisting with the collation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
• Supporting the preparation of VAT return, expense analysis and national statistics

The ideal candidate for this role would be a technically strong accountant (preferably finalist or recently qualified) with international exposure, familiar with reporting in foreign currencies and ideally knowledge around conversion of management accounts from US GAAP to FRS 102. The position would suit a resilient and versatile team player with high level interpersonal skills who can interact at all levels within the business and liaise with external advisors.
