About the Opportunity

As a Global Compliance Manager you will be responsible primarily, as a key member of a global compliance team, for the management and development of the balance sheet reconciliation control environment; administration of the (Cadency Certification application); and control of Hyperion tools (HFM/PMR) close reporting process and development. Additionally, the role will support and drive other key compliance initiatives and activities, including ongoing improvement and efficiency plans, and input in to the Control Radar process.

In this role, you’ll join our Global Accounting Operations team based out of our office in Hatfield and you will report to the R2R Process and Compliance Controller.

The Job

This position is accountable for supporting the R2R Process and Compliance Controller in the following:

  • Responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the web-based Balance Sheet reconciliation tool (across Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions), in addition to identifying opportunities for driving efficiency and integrity. Maximising automation benefits across the tool. Go to person for queries and issue resolution.
  • Responsible for the timeliness and quality of reconciliation reporting, analysis and communication to stakeholders; informed input into the monthly internal compliance reporting process.
  • Responsible for utilising the Hyperion reporting tool (HFM/PMR) to track the close performance and ensure all checks are complete. This requires reporting to strict deadlines, stakeholder support and issue resolution.
  • Delivery, maintenance and development of reporting from the Hyperion reporting tool (HFM/PMR) to support the monthly internal compliance reporting process; quarterly corporate reporting and ad hoc analysis.
  • Responsible for the timeliness of receiving and validating inputs; the quality control of inputs; and providing challenge to contributors as necessary.
  • Compilation and automation of regional reporting packs.
  • Provision of all necessary administrative and technical support to ensure the effectiveness of the monthly reporting review sessions.
  • Ensuring actions and remediation plans are assigned and adhered to across all compliance areas.
  • Proactive involvement in all R2R process initiatives.
  • Preparation and maintenance of current and accurate process DTP’s in the compliance arena, together with innovation in approach to continuously driving process improvements.


Qualifications:

Essential:

  • 3+ years of balance sheet reconciliation and management reporting experience
  • Experience of working within an international environment.
  • Good project manager 
  • Commercially astute 
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint ability
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Good organisational and relationship building skills.
  • A team player

Desirable

  • Experience of working with a balance sheet reconciliation software application
  • Experience of working with Hyperion
  • SAP literate
  • European language skills
  • US GAAP experience
