Financial Controller, SOX Specialist

Client Description:

Green Park is proud to be retained by an iconic global retailer who would consider themselves a pioneer within high street retailing, boasting substantial turnover, 100’s of stores and millions customers per week.

Background of assignment:

This an exciting time for our client who are now looking to evolve their proposition by taking advantage of strong trading within global consumer markets, allowing them to consider attractive financial opportunities within the global transactions market, specifically financial mergers, acquisitions and corporate transitions.

As part of this ambitious plan, our client is looking to establish a project finance team who will be key in creating and shaping the business to be in the best position to take advantage, reporting directly to the Group CFO based out of their central London office.

The newly created project finance team will be responsible for the cradle to grave activity aligned with transaction advisory, for example, tightening global controls and financial reporting, and reviewing pain points across the organisation, creating best practice.

Assignment description:

We require a Senior Financial Controller specialising within Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) to review the global finance business processes and procedures in line with SEC and SOX Compliance, setting the global group up for potential options in the future. Operating within an Oracle environment.

Candidate description:

You will need to be an established financial leader within financial reporting, previously operating at mid-market or above with significant exposure of SOX operating businesses who have previously explored the corporate transactions market mergers, de-couplings and public offerings to be considered for this team.
