A very successful SME in Sheffield are recruiting a Payroll & Management Accountant to join their team. There are no specific requirements on qualifications which makes this an excellent role for a first-time mover.

This expanding company are looking for a conscientious individual who will work well as part of a team. You will report into the Financial Controller and be responsible for:

*Detailed preparation of weekly payroll for a workforce of 110 and rising, ensuring all cost is properly recorded by contract to deliver detailed contract by contract cost data.
*Ensuring by regular liaison with contracts department and keeping up to date with all pink & blue book***(see note below) requirements to ensure all workforce are fully paid in accordance with industry standards.
*Maintaining a 12-week average pay per person record to ensure compliance with holiday pay guidelines.
*Investigating and resolving all timesheet queries and ensure time sheet accuracy.
*Input data accurately onto Eque2 and then process into sage payroll
*Rapidly become fully conversant with our multiple wage rates, bonuses, etc.
*Calculate Radius and Fares in line with NAECI and TICA guidelines (Pink & Blue Book) ***
*Dealing with operatives effectively at courteously with regards to pay queries
*The ability to use Excel, ideally you will be an advanced user.
*Able to use all elements of the Microsoft office suite
*Methodical with presentation of information
*Payroll qualification ideal but not essential
*Nominal posting to ledger required
*Timely notification of payments due to HMRC
*Sage 50 payroll trained / Eque2 Software trained (ideal but training will be given, if not)
*P45 production for leavers / Starters
*Year End payroll procedures to be completed
