Financial Controller

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working exclusively with a family run SME who whilst being still in its infancy, derives from a long established Group of businesses who successfully operated over 60 years. The ambitious MD is looking to add a like minded individual who can add value to the business and can dictate the financial strategy of the business.

The business is already making 25% profit per year, and despite having capacity left at the current site, is already looking to expand due to its growing reputation and impressive customer portfolio.

This key role will work in partnership with the Managing Director meaning strong communication skills and an ability to push back is vital. Ensuring the financial reporting integrity of the business and providing key analysis which will influence and dictate commercial strategy will be a major part of the role. The MD is looking to give over full ownership of the financial reporting and accounting, with a small, dedicated team helping out.

Interpersonal skills are an absolute must as you will be tasked with building and profiting on strong relationship with non-finance staff, suppliers, senior board members and customers.

Qualifications would be desirable but not essential, though a commercial mind-set and ability to implement cost saving improvements is integral. This is an outstanding role, allowing somebody the opportunity to make a real difference and impact on the business.
