Head of Finance

Engineering and Energy consultancy group are looking to recruit an Interim Head of Finance in advance of the permanent recruitment process. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will have responsibility for the day to day management of a Finance Department comprising 5 people and take full ownership of the monthly management accounting, statutory and year end reporting activities.

It will also manage the reporting of operational performance, opex and capex management and cash forecasting, as well as manage bank accounts/payment authorisation. Additionally, the continued business growth is driving a need to enhance the control environment across the finance function and the MD will also require support deputise in their absence.

The ideal candidate will be a highly ambitious ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant with a strong academic background.  Experience of working in the Utilities, Asset Management or Energy Sectors would be advantageous. But more important is that you can work effectively across all levels of the business hierarchy, have demonstrated proactive leadership and are able to manage change projects which add real value to the financial control framework.
