Project Analyst - Aylesbury - £30,000 - £35,000 + Study Support

Your new company
A Project Analyst opportunity has become available within a nationally recognised organisation for a part-qualified and active studier of ACCA or CIMA. You will join one of Aylesbury best employers and support them in achieving their targeted growth. You will report to the Senior Project Analyst and work within a team of 3. Following the completion of 2 large projects, it has opened up new opportunities for the business to expand and grow.

Your new role
As a Project Analyst you will support your portfolio of projects from the financial point of view. This will involve managing the finances for each project from start to finish. This will involve managing the capital expenditure process to fall in line with the capital procedures. This will involve liaising with the management accountant to understand what capex is available.

As the Project Analyst, you will review and maintain the WIP for each project you manage. This will involve tracking and forecasting capex spend to allow you to manage the cashflow. Using this information, you will liaise with the project managers to advise on spend and available budget. You will also hold monthly budget meetings with the project managers to guide them on the cashflow and capex spend available.

You will also be responsible for core month end duties which will include analysing the variances of the Actual vs Budget and provide commentary of this to show areas where this can be monitored and managed more efficiently. You will also support the Head of Financial Reporting in the production of the Balance Sheet and Cash flow for period end, and other period end reporting activities as requested. This will involve forecasting capital expenditure spend over the remaining projects.
