Interim Finance Director
The Opportunity:
A private equity backed manufacturer of scientific testing equipment is seeking an interim FD with the potential of the role going permanent.
The Role:
The business has seen good levels of top and bottom line growth since receiving private equity backing and now sees the growth area of the business in the new product development area. Therefore this role needs a commercial FD that can drive help achieve this. The business has a sales team in the UK and US, performance across both is mixed. You will need to work with the Head of Sales to address this and implement a strategy to help improve performance.
The Requirements:
The MD is from the sector and the business has recently appointed a chairman from a similar space, therefore the private equity house feels that this FD must have some relevant experience to scientific instruments, whether that be pharma, biotech, testing, low volume niche manufacturing. You will need to be a hands on, credible, have worked in an SME and ideally with experience in a PE backed business.
