Finance Manager
Expanding Construction Group, part of a large, multinational conglomerate, is currently looking to appoint a Finance Manager to: provide operational financial leadership; to assist the Divisional Head of Finance with financial planning and performance; and to be responsible for reporting to internal stakeholders.
Key deliverables for the Finance Manager include:
- Financial Analysis and Management Reporting - to analyse and present financial data in a timely and appropriate manner taking corrective action when required.
- Accounting; Financial Analysis and Management Reporting – to direct and supervise the monthly management accounts preparation, quarterly reporting and preparation of statutory financial statements as required as well as co-ordinating activities of internal and external auditors.
- Treasury – to manage the cash flows of the local business unit by reducing the working capital employed. This will be achieved by reducing inventory, minimising commercial work in progress and streamlining invoicing and cash collection.
The Finance Manager will also be responsible for:
- Developing strong and effective financial controls to improve business efficiency. This will entail working with the business to create management information to improve business efficiency and cash flow.
- Building and developing a strong finance team.
Suitable applicants for the Finance Manager position should:
- Be an ACA Chartered Accountant (ideally from the Big 4) with experience of IFRS and UK GAAP and a First Time Pass record
- Have proven post qualification experience in industry – ideally with exposure to project/contract costing in a construction, infrastructure, outsourced or managed support service environment.
- Ideally have systems implementation experience.
