Part Qualified Assistant Reporting Accountant

A leading private equity-backed infrastructure business is looking for a Part Qualified Assistant Reporting Accountant with ideally 1-3 years experience working in a complex fast paced environment. You will be experienced in; month-end reporting, posting journals, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timeliness closing of all periodic accounting and reporting of one of the Op-Co's (DRC, Ghana, Tanzania or Congo B), including month-end and annual closing.

Responsibilities:

• Single point of contact with local Op-Co Finance team for all accounting queries and support
• Ensuring the month-end is closed according to Group timetable (WD4)
• Ensuring the accuracy of all financial and management accounts
• Analysis of monthly accounts versus budget/forecast and explanation of all variances
• Complete all related balance Sheet reconciliations to group timeline
• Support the Interim and Annual Audit processes
• Monitoring and reporting on Per Site P&L monthly

Experience:

• Part Qualified in; ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Proficient Excel User (Pivots, Vlookups, Sumifs )
• Fluent in French
• SAP ( desirable )
• French Speaking (preferred but not required) 
• Month-end reporting
