Our client, a leading, fast paced property business based in Central London is looking for a qualified Finance Business Partner to partner with the Divisional Managing Director. The business has an established client portfolio and are fast becoming the leaders in the sector due to their service focus, driving organic growth. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for driving and improving the financial and operational performance against targets.

The position will suit a confident, proactive and ambitious professional with a desire to support the Group Financial Controller with the continued growth of the business. The successful candidate will be visible to a number of key stakeholders across the business meaning this job would be well suited to a commercially astute Finance Business Partner who can work closely with the MD, Group FC and the wider business to offer a value add service. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Creating a rolling forecast to track targets; supporting the key decision making process
  • Responsible for the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow; improving the reporting process
  • Providing the analysis and overview of the P&L, presenting highlights to key stakeholders and identifying risks and opportunities
  • Providing commentary on variances to the forecast, ensuring senior stakeholders are aware of corrective actions
  • Managing the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Identifying targets in line with growth plans of the wider business
  • Implementing KPIs and Balance scorecard reporting
  • Overseeing the annual statutory audit for the division and preparing statutory accounts
  • Driving financial initiatives, whilst developing financial models to analyse and support strategic objectives
  • Involved with ad-hoc projects including a system implementation

 

 

This role requires a driven, qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) with the capacity to develop strong business relationships. The successful candidate will have the ability to move beyond compiling data and will be able to tell the story behind the numbers. You will be able to review and develop internal process and procedures and have a strong understanding of FRS 102.
