Market leading international group with offices near Colchester, Essex are looking to recruit a qualified accountant to join the business as Audit and Assurance Manager, to provide technical expertise, manage the statutory and group reporting and lead the development of processes, controls and systems.

Your new role
As Audit & Assurance Manager you will effectively manage the internal and external statutory and management reporting for the group companies, in line with internal policy and external standards and requirements. You will be the point of contact for the auditors and other internal and external contacts and plan and manage the year- end, half year and interim audit process.
The Audit & Assurance Manager will be responsible for ensuring correct application of group accounting policies and that key controls are performed, documented and tested as required. They will conduct face to face reviews across the various sites and provide technical support on changes such as internal or external standards/policies, acquisitions and integration. The Audit & Assurance Manager will conduct a full review of the reporting process and be responsible for the design and implementation of enhanced procedures and controls with full documentation. They will also assist with the successful implementation of the fully integrated group SOP SAP reporting system.


What you'll need to succeed
The Audit & Assurance Manager will be a qualified ACA or ACCA who has large company audit experience gained with a large accountancy firm, they will be technically strong with knowledge of IFRS and FRS102. They will be experienced in analytical review and enjoy driving improvement in processes, controls & systems. The Audit & Assurance Manager will be structured and disciplined in their approach to planning and organising workload, able to manage multiple deadlines, projects and workloads and work under own initiative without supervision.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in large corporate businesses or had significant exposure via audit. They will be ambitious, confident and have good communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels internally and externally.
