Assistant Management Accountant, Up to £35,000, Based in Rugby
Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be working as a resourcing partner for this progressive SME, based in Rugby, to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a hands-on and busy finance position that will support the Financial Controller, in a varied role that involves management account preparation, planning, reporting and complex reconciliations.
Your new role
Responsibilities:
- Bank reconciliations
- Contract margin review
- Weekly production report
- Warranty reporting and transfers
- Inter-company reconciliations and recharges
- Accruals & Prepayments
- FX schedules and hedging
- Shortage account data collation
- Credit note review
- Sales by currency
- Downpayment account analysis
What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience within a similar Assistant Accountant role with a driven and analytical mind-set. You will ideally be part-qualified working towards completing your professional qualification, however, finance professionals who are qualified by experience will still be considered for the position based on experience. For this hands-on role it is essential that you have strong, robust communication skills to build internal relationships with various teams around the business and external bodies, with a strong level of MS Excel skills (pivots, lookups, formulas). It would be advantageous if you have previously worked within the manufacturing sector.
