Our client is an innovative high growth software business which is backed by private equity. A Group Financial Controller is required to support the continued growth of the business. Reporting to the CFO key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the implementation of a new ERP and financial system, ensuring business case benefits are delivered
  • Drive financial and KPI reporting improvements, including product, client, revenue type and project profitability
  • Own the budget and planning cycle, including quarterly re-forecasting
  • Provide commercial business partnering support for the Directors on various commercial initiatives
  • Manage group cash flow and oversee treasury management, and lead cash flow improvement initiatives for AP and AR.
  • Motivate and lead the financial department including setting objectives, providing ongoing performance assessment and annual reviews.
  • Review the control and compliance environment, and implement improvements
  • Work with tax advisors to ensure Group tax compliance and capture tax opportunities
  • Own and deliver the annual statutory reporting process and oversee the relationship with the external auditors
  • Provide timely an accurate information for the bank and for HG capital
  • Work with the CFO and COO to deliver cost reduction opportunities
  • Produce timely and accurate month end financial information for the Board
  • Prepare the business for an exit, and support the exit process working with the CFO, advisors and private equity backers
  • Deputise for the CFO when required

You will be a Qualified Accountant with a track record of improving financial controls, processes and systems. You must have excellent Excel skills. It would be hugely beneficial for the candidate to have experience of working for an SME in a senior finance role. Experience of working for a business in the data, technology or software sector would also be desirable.
